Aeroculture Farms make use of large quantities of mineral fertilizers infused into a watery solvent. This allows plants to be grown with only their roots exposed to the mineral solution, though sometimes the roots are supported by an inert medium such as gravel or even obsidian, depending on the world where they are constructed. By virtue of being grown in a clean, controlled environment, hydroponically-nourished plants are very attractive to colonists on what might be an otherwise hostile world. As a result, colonial influx is increased in addition to raising the general health and well-being of the colonial citizenry. If present, excess space in existing facilities is converted for hydroponic use; if not available, simple or possibly inflatable domes can be raised to protect the plants inside. As a result, the only construction requirement is the necessary quantities of Mineral Fertilizers as a one-time expenditure.
